Hi

We're getting this error when trying to access any UNX universe through Webi. UNV's and BEx seem ok. (UNV's mainly against Oracle although a couple of SQL Server)

csEX com.sap.connectivity.cs.extended.ConnectionServer (WIS 00000)

We're on BI 4.0 SP05 (no additional fix packs installed yet although at least 2 are out at time of writing)

However we only get this error when we run a seperate AdaptiveProcessorServer running just the DSL bridge (configured with 4GB heap -Xmx4g). If we go back to running the APS with all the Services contained in it (as the install defaults to) we do NOT get the error (although we have performance/functional issues with BEx/BICs connectivity).

We've created a seperate APServer for the DSL bridge based on the PDF "BICS Connectivity for Web Intelligence in SAP BI 4.0". It also created a Tracelog Service and a Web Intelligence monitoring service which we've left there.

I removed the DSL from my copy of the original Adaptive Processing Server (which is diasabled as per the best practices).

So we have the original APS disabled, a copy of that wich the DSL service removed and and additional one with just the DSL bridge in it.

We're only in a proof of concept at the moment so not causing us lots of problems but it would be nice to know if there is any resolution to this.

As per SAP note 1764625 we've tried deleting the APS with the DSL and recreated it but it didn't make any difference.

Any suggestions????

Nick
